Lionforce vs Deel, Multiplier, Remote.com: India EOR Comparison 2026
If you are evaluating EOR options to hire in India, you have probably hit Deel, Multiplier, Remote.com, and Globalization Partners (G-P) within the first hour of research. These are excellent global EOR platforms. They are not always the right choice for India.
This is an honest comparison. We will tell you when Lionforce is the better fit and when one of the global platforms is. We have onboarded clients who left every one of these platforms, and we have lost clients to them too. The pattern is consistent enough to make a real recommendation.
What the global EOR platforms do well
Deel, Multiplier, Remote.com and G-P are genuinely good products. They share four strengths:
- Multi-country reach. 100-150 countries in one platform. Critical for distributed teams hiring across the EU, LATAM, and Asia in one quarter.
- Slick self-service UX, sign a contract, upload a candidate, get them onboarded in 5 days without speaking to a human.
- Standardised compliance, same contract, same payroll process, same dashboards across every country.
- Brand legitimacy, your finance team likely already trusts the name.
If your problem is "I have 1-2 hires across 4 countries and zero appetite for vendor management", these platforms are excellent. Use them.
Where global EOR platforms fall short for India specifically
India is unusual among EOR markets. Compliance is unusually deep, talent acquisition is unusually competitive, and the operational reality is unusually different from EU or LATAM markets. Here is what we hear consistently from clients who switched to Lionforce after starting with global platforms:
Issue 1: They cannot help you hire
Global platforms do not source candidates. They onboard candidates you have already found. Indian engineering hiring is notoriously hard at scale. Deel and Multiplier do not solve this. Lionforce does, with a recruiting team of 12 in India, 50,000+ candidate database, and average time-to-shortlist of 4 working days.
Issue 2: Compliance gaps that surface later
Global platforms run a reasonable compliance posture, but Indian labour law has hundreds of edge cases that come up in audits, transfers, and disputes. We have seen ex-Deel clients hit with retroactive PF dues, gratuity miscalculations, and POSH non-compliance. India compliance is a specialist game.
Issue 3: Talent perception
India engineers consistently rate Lionforce-managed contracts higher than global EOR contracts in our exit interviews. Reasons: better health insurance defaults, gratuity calculation transparency, and access to a local HR team that handles disputes face-to-face. This translates to 18-22% lower attrition vs global EOR averages.
Issue 4: Cost transparency
Global platforms quote a flat percentage. The actual cost includes a 1-3% FX margin, payment processing fees, and "premium support" tiers. By the time you reconcile against Indian benchmarks, total cost is often 15-22% higher than Lionforce's transparent flat-fee India pricing.
Issue 5: No ODC or COE path
If you grow past 20 hires, EOR-only platforms become inefficient. Global platforms have no path to ODC or COE without you switching vendors. Lionforce supports the EOR → ODC → COE → own-entity progression natively.

When to pick a global EOR platform anyway
Be honest with yourself. Pick Deel, Multiplier, Remote, or G-P when:
- You are hiring 1-3 people in India as part of a 10-country distributed team
- You already have shortlisted candidates and just need legal employment
- You value self-service speed over human partnership
- Your finance team mandates a specific vendor that is already onboarded
When Lionforce is the right pick
Pick Lionforce when:
- India is core to your scaling plan, not an afterthought
- You need help finding the talent, not just employing them
- You will likely cross 20+ hires in 18 months
- You want a path to ODC, COE, or your own entity later
- You value low attrition and would pay for it
The honest punchline
Most companies that pick a global EOR for India do so because it is easy. Many regret it 12 months in when they realise hiring is the bottleneck and compliance has gaps. The good ones graduate to Lionforce or build their own entity. We have onboarded plenty of those.
